Green Maintenance Report March

Soil tests showed that the green needed Phosporus and Nitrogen recently

The green keeper has been making good progress on the pre-season preparations of the green.

The cutting height has now been reduced to 7mm from the winter height of 8mm as advised by John from bowls-central.co.uk.

Spring corrective fertiliser has been applied this week to correct low Phosphorus and Nitrogen levels.

The irrigation consultant visited last week to re-commission the watering system for the new season.

All in all preparations are at an advanced stage and we are looking forward to a well prepared green for opening day.

Green reports are a breeze with a website hosted on bowls-club.co.uk. Simply gather the information and type straight onto your site, making as many corrections, additions and deletions as you want; add photos, link to other documents and offer downloads to your members all without wasting a sheet of paper or incurring postage to disseminate the information to your members.
